Move-out inspections are predictable. Property managers check the oven, the refrigerator, the bathrooms, the inside of cabinets and closets, the floors, and the walls, in roughly that order, because those are the places tenants most often leave dirty. A move-out clean that hits all six is the difference between a full deposit and a deduction.
Kitchen first: the oven cleaned inside, racks included, the stovetop and hood degreased, the refrigerator emptied and wiped inside and out, the dishwasher filter cleared, and every cabinet and drawer wiped inside. Then the sink scoured and the counters and backsplash scrubbed.
Bathrooms next: tub and shower descaled, grout scrubbed, toilet cleaned inside and around the base, mirrors and fixtures polished, and the inside of the vanity wiped. Landlords look under the sink, so clean there.
Then the rest of the unit: every closet and shelf wiped, walls spot-cleaned for scuffs and handprints, baseboards and door frames wiped, window sills and tracks cleaned, blinds dusted, light fixtures and ceiling fans dusted, and the floors vacuumed and mopped last so you leave on a clean surface.
If you would rather not spend your last day in the unit scrubbing an oven, this is exactly what our move-in / move-out cleaning covers, and we can send photos when we are done so you have a record for the inspection.
